Surrey Police Community Engagement Volunteer, David Howie, reports on recent thefts, burglaries, and criminal damage in Surrey Heath, in the latest InTheKnow Bulletin for Surrey Heath.

  • Crime no.45170144917 – On 31/12/2017 at 00:52, in Upper College Ride, Camberley. Rear windscreen smashed
  • Crime no.45180000215 – Between 31/12/2017 from 23:00 to 01/01/2018 at 13:30, in Ian Goodchild Centre, Knoll Road, Camberley. Damage caused to ambulance
  • Crime no.45180000356 – On 01/01/2018 at 22:05, in London Road, Camberley. Unknown suspect has fired a weapon of some kind from a moving vehicle into a restaurant causing shot damage to a window.
  • Crime no.45180001195 – Between 02/01/2018 from 18:00 to 03/01/2018 at 12:00, in Ravenstone Road, Camberley. Christmas lights cable cut
  • Crime no.45180001390 – On 04/01/2018 at 10:50, in The Atrium, Park Street, Camberley. Male has shouted abuse at security when pass would not work has then attempted to lift the barrier and in doing so has damaged it (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45180000176 – Between 31/12/2017 from 20:00 to 01/01/2018 at 10:15, in Victoria Avenue, Camberley. Number plate stolen from vehicle
  • Crime no.45180000424 – Between 01/01/2018 from 16:00 to 02/01/2018 at 06:00, in Watchetts Recreation Ground, Park Road, Camberley. Theft from motor vehicle and damage caused (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45180001539 – On 04/12/2017 from 12:00 to 07:00, at Four Seasons, Springfield Road, Camberley. Spare wheel stolen from Land Rover Discovery
  • Crime no.45180001204 – On 03/01/2018 from 18:00 to 19:10, in Park St, Camberley. Pedal cycle stolen (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45180001225 – On 03/01/2018 09:00 to 17:15, in Multi-Storey Car Park, Albert Road, Camberley. Theft of pushbike from car park (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45180001581 – On 04/01/2018 from 17:05 to 17:25, in The Square, Camberley. Theft of a vaping device (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45170144296 – Between 28/12/2017 from 23:00 to 29/12/2017 at 09:00, in Keogh Close, Ash Vale. Garage broken into and items stolen
  • Crime no.45180001092 – On 03/01/2018 at 12:00, in Worsley Road, Frimley. Couple have gone out for the day. On their return, have found their bedroom door damaged and open.  No property missing. (Under investigation)
  • Crime no.45180000346 – On 01/01/2018 at 21:10, in Peel Avenue, Frimley. Projectile has smashed outer pane of glass of double glazed patio door
  • Crime no.45180000776 – On 02/01/2018 at 01:15, in Keswick Drive, Lightwater. Attempted to enter residential property via side door and left when dog barked.
  • Crime no.45180001582 – On 01/01/2018 from 19:00 to 19:00, in Blackstroud Lane West, Lightwater. Offenders have removed side Perspex window from shed but nothing has been stolen.
  • Crime no.45170144849 – On 18/11/2017 from 00:01 to 23:59, in Broadway Road, Lightwater. Two tyres on vehicle have been slashed.
  • Crime no.45170144651 – Between 29/12/2017 from 17:00 to 30/12/2017 at 08:30, in Broadway Road, Lightwater. Ongoing issue with cars being damaged whilst parked on Broadway Road, Lightwater.

  1. I read that the Police desk in Camberley (along with others in the county) will be closing so how will all these crimes be reported in the future. I expect the police precept in the council tax will still go up above the inflation rate as these savings will be minimal. When last did we see Mr.Plod patrolling in Lightwater ?
