Reminder: Facebook Live event with Council officers on waste & recycling, public safety, and green spaces

Surrey Heath Borough Council has issued a reminder notice to residents to join a Facebook Live event on Wednesday evening 11th January,

tsh-logoSurrey Heath Borough Council is holding the second in their series of live streamed events to discuss issues important to residents on Wednesday 11 January.

The subject of the #TalkSurreyHeath Q & A session is ‘Clean, Green and Safe’ – focusing on one of the Council’s key priorities.

Surrey Heath is keen to answer people’s questions, hear their views, understand any concerns and listen to new ideas on subjects such as parks and green spaces, waste & recycling and public safety via this Facebook Live event, which will take place from 7pm-8pm.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Moira Gibson will appear on the panel alongside SHBC Chief Executive Karen Whelan, Surrey Heath Executive Head of Community Tim Pashen, and Cllr Vivienne Chapman, Portfolio Holder for Community.

The Council is organising these innovative online events to encourage as many residents, business owners and interested parties to have their say on this important topic.

Members of the public can visit the SHBC Facebook page ( on the day to follow the live video stream – there is no need to have a Facebook account in order to view.

Questions can be asked via the comments section of the Facebook Live post if you are logged in to a Facebook account. Alternatively you can participate by using the hashtag #talksurreyheath on Twitter, by directly tweeting us @surreyheath or via email before or during the event on  The Council aims to answer as many questions as possible during the event.
