Local Bonfire Night and Fireworks events 2016

I hope I’ve listed all of the local bonfire night and fireworks events. I’ll add to the list when I learn about other events. [Click on the images/links to expand]

sandhurst-fireworksSaturday 29th October
SANDHURST: Sandhurst’s free fireworks display will be held on the Memorial Park, Yorktown Road, GU47 9DX from 5pm. Hot food, inflatables, stalls and fun fair rides will be on offer alongside live entertainment from Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums.



FRIMLEY: Halloween Firework Extravaganza at Pine Ridge Golf Centre, Old Bisley Road, GU16 9NX, plus fairground activities, fireworks, bonfire, DJ, food and drink and fancy dress competition for children. Gates open at 5pm, fireworks at 7pm. Tickets on the gate: Adults £7, child £3 (under 10).


chobam-fireworksCHOBHAM: Chobham Rugby Club, Windsor Road, Chobham GU24 8LD, host their 50th anniversary fireworks display set to music. Gates open 6.00pm, bonfire lit at 7.00pm, fireworks begin at 8.00pm. Entry at the gate £6 Adult(15+), £4 Children. Halloween fancy dress competition, BBQ and beer tent.

Friday 4th November
windlesham-fireworksWINDLESHAM: Fireworks display at the Windlesham Field of Remembrance, Kennel Lane, GU20 6DT. Gates open at 5.45pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7.0pm. Gourmet sausages, burgers, mulled wine, beer and soft drinks available to buy. Tickets on the gate cost £6.50 for adults and £3.50 for children.

holy-trinityWEST END: Fireworks display at Holy Trinity School, Benner Lane, West End. Music, BBQ, Refreshments, Beer, Music, Mulled Wine, and kids treats. Gates open 5.30pm, Tots display 6.0pm, Bonfire lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7.15pm Tickets on the gate: Adults £5, Children £3, Preschool £1.


Saturday 5th November
ravenscote-fireworksFRIMLEY: Ravenscote Junior School Fireworks Spectacular at the school’s field in Frimley, Old Bisley Road, GU16 9RE. Gates will open at 6pm, fireworks at 7pm. Tickets £4.50 in advance and £6 on the gate. Children aged 4 and under go free.

lightwater-nov-5thLIGHTWATER: 1st Lightwater Scout group’s uniquely themed bonfire and firework spectacular at Lightwater Recreation Ground behind All Saints Church, Broadway Road, GU18 5SJ. Barbecue and professional firework display with music. Gates open and BBQ at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm and firework display starts at 7.30pm. No alcohol or sparklers. Tickets £5, senior citizens £3, family ticket £15, children under 5 free.

MYTCHETT: Mytchett Primary School fireworks event. Specially designed for children with a lower noise than the usual fireworks display. Refreshments and stalls with jacket potato’s, hotdogs, and burgers. Gates open at 4.30pm, bonfire lit at 5.15pm and fireworks at 6pm. Car parking available at Mytchett Recreation Ground, via both Hamesmoor Road and Whiteacres Road entrances. Tickets on the gate: £4 adult, £3 child. Preschool children free


Sunday 6th November
mychett-fireworksMYTCHETT: Fireworks Bonanza at the Mytchett Community Centre, Mytchett Road, GU16 6AA. Gates open at 5pm, display starts at 7.3pm. Funfair, fireworks, and food. Tickets on the gate cost: £4 adult, £2 under 16’s and under 5’s free.

  1. I recall when the Lightwater event said “Babes in arms free” and when I picked up our 20’s daughter, they wouldn’t allow it despite my gentle protestation at the wording. Wonder if that is why the change to under 5’s ?
