A Chilli Festival that’s hot, hot, hot

Our Bank Holiday day out this week was to the Chilli Festival at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, Herefordshire.

Phewee, the two day festival was popular. We arrived early, and the event became progressively more crowded. We asked, at the exit, how many visitors they’d had. Answer – 10,000 over the two days.

Not being a chilli addict myself, I hadn’t imagined how popular are all things chilli-related. All the stalls offered a tasting experience. I tried a chilli flavoured jelly baby. Nope, too much for me. While the weather was overcast and with drizzly rain, the heat came from the chilli food tastings. Here’s my brief photo montage of the event, which was good fun, and definitely worth an excursion to.
