Woking Bikeathon – a leisure bike ride for charity

The Woking Bikeathon charity bike ride will take place on Sunday 8th May, 2016. The Woking Rotary Bikeathon is organised by The Woking Rotary Club. It is not a race but a sponsored fun ride for the benefit of local charities.

There’s a choice of cycle routes for the bikeathon. A short one of 13.37 miles that runs from Woking, Mayford, Worplesdon, Pirbright, Brookwood, and St Johns. The longer route of 28.44 miles runs from Woking, Pirbright, Deepcut, along the Maultway, thru Lightwater, Valley End, Chobham and Horsell. There’ll also be a Kids Bikethon run entirely in Woking Park.

At last year’s bikeathon, I took photos of the cyclists as they came through Lightwater, including, David Perry, an organisers. The organisers are looking for volunteers and marshals. If you think you can help, contact them HERE.
