A full house for Surrey Police Band’s concert at St Barbara’s Church, Deepcut

There wasn’t a spare seat at St Barbara’s Church, Deepcut for the Surrey Police Band’s charity Christmas Concert, under the musical direction of Graham Atterbury.

Those who know the pleasures of this concert know that half way through the programme there’s a break for refreshments and cake. The cakes being made by members of the band, and jolly tasty they were too. Not admitting to the number I ate.

St Barbara’s is a splendid venue for the band as the acoustics suit brass band. The band filled the church with their music. I reckoned that there were almost 30 band members. The audience helped with the singing of three carols. I videoed the band’s rendering of Symphonic Highlights from Frozen by Anderson-Lopez and Lopez arr Bulla, which I’ll post here later. Meanwhile, here are a few photos, including the one of Graham Atterbury presenting a cheque to The Children’s Trust.
