Young children have no hang-ups wearing funny hats for Christmas. This was true of the children’s choirs from Lightwater Village School and Hammond School who sang their hearts out at Lightwater’s Fayre in the Square on Saturday. They were watched admiringly by parents and visitors alike.
The treat for the choristers was the arrival of Santa Claus with a bucket full of gifts – mostly sweets of different kinds. Meanwhile adults spent time among the stalls, with George Arthur stall of hot bacon and chicken rolls doing brisk trade. While the Gerald, a local apiarist on the Windlesham Country Market stand, almost sold out of honey and honeycomb. Here’s my photo montage of the Fayre, and a short video of the children singing,
