Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Parade in Camberley

The local branches of the Royal British Legion[RBL] held a Poppy Appeal Parade this morning in Park Street, Camberley. The parade was led by the flags of local Royal British Legion branches, and in the parade were; 1075 Camberley Squadron Air Cadets, Frimley and Camberley Cadet Corps, war veterans, Camberley Sea Cadets, RBL Riders, and the RBL Brolly ladies.

The Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr Bob Paton, gave the RBL exhortation, and reviewed then parade. Radio Frimley Park, in their new mobile radio station van, provided the musical backdrop to the parade and the public address system for the songs and readings by the students of Stagecoach Camberley. Later in the day were displays from Camberley Martial Arts, and Liberty Gymnastics Club plus music from The Three Belles.  There was also a display of heritage military vehicles from the collection of the Royal Logistic Corps Museum, Deepcut.

Here’s my short video of the parade and a brief photo montage of the event.
