Contractors sought for Deepcut PRB Barracks move

From Guido Fawkes blog, I jumped to THIS press release from GVA, which says,

“GVA has been appointed by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to assist in identifying potential Contractors who may be invited to provide an integrated infrastructure solution for the relocation of The Princess Royal Barracks, Surrey (Deepcut) and consolidation from other locations, to Worthy Down in Hampshire.”

Also in the press release is that “the Contractor will progress the current planning position, facilitate and fund the infrastructure provision and manage the disposal process to maximise the net value of receipts in return for a share of the net proceeds realised.”

If you’re interested in the plans for Deepcut, then on Saturday 5th January it’s the final opportunity to attend the Deepcut Redevelopment Public Exhibition.

UPDATE: James Chapple of the Camberley News & Mail points out that this press release was back in July last year. I really should have noted that. A reminder to me to check content before I press the publish button.
