Eurrghh, Tesco Express development resubmitted

I imagined Tesco would return with a resubmitted application to redevelop 89-91 Guildford Road in Lightwater, currently occupied by Surrey Homecare, and so they have HERE.

In this application we’re left in no doubt that it’s a potential Tesco Express site. The revised application makes a number of significant revisions to overcome the objections upheld by the Planning Inspector. This time I’ll not rehearse arguments against the development on this blog.

And just in case, yet again, people wish to misunderstand my position, I’m against it, for much the same reasons that have been discussed widely before.

  1. already extensively commented on the previous thread … trust you are going to lobby for S106 ruling ?

  2. Application Number: 12/0626
Please residents appeal against Tesco we don’t want them ruining our village! Parking is a nightmare as it is, this will only add to the problem. We have enough local shops. If you want to shop at Tesco go to The Meadows there is even a free bus!

  3. waste of time complaining – lobby Councillors like Tim Dodds & the others locally to push for Planning conditions & covenants that will benefit the village overall ….

  4. Parking is already a joke in Lightwater, try looking for a disabled space!!!!!!
