Anti-skid surface to zebra crossing in Lightwater

I’m pleased to hear that the approach to the new zebra crossing on Guildford Road in Lightwater, near the Post Office, is to have an anti skid layer added to the road surface.

The work is planned to take place some time in the next few months, necessitating the closure of Guildford Road. Surrey County Council Highways indicate that the work will be completed in one day. I’m unsure when it will occur as there are conflicting Highway notices, HERE for between the 10th & 12th December 2012, and HERE for between 30th November and 4th December 2012.

This makes me think that the new road table in the centre of Lightwater could also benefit from better marking.
