It’s not just us with an unusual weather pattern

I know it’s not much comfort to residents of our rainy islands, but others parts of the world are experiencing unusual weather patterns.

An interesting article in the Zero Hedge blog – US Climate Update: Warmest 12 Months On Record – says that,

“The Northern Hemisphere just experienced the all-time warmest June on record, at 2.34°F above average. The U.S. has experienced since record-keeping began in 1895, and 56.0% of the contiguous U.S. experienced drought conditions, the most since records began.”

The chart below [click to enlarge] from NOAA, part of US Department of Commerce, shows the US with a heat wave, Australia colder than normal, China with floods, and the Antarctic sea ice larger than average. We’re not hearing much about the so-called ’settled science’ of global warming.
