Here’s a reminder to me to be more rigourous. In my report on ‘offering support to our Olympic hopefuls’, I listed the names of two Olympic torch bearers from our borough. I checked on people being torch bearers in Surrey.
Perhaps I should’ve checked the whole list of 8,000 people, because I missed recording that Sophie Johnstone, proprietor of Camberley People and member of Camberley Judo Club, was a torch bearer in Portland, near Weymouth.
