Friday’s always seem to be busy days

I don’t know what it is with Friday’s and mayoral activity, but they are often very busy days. Was never like this when I was working.

This morning is the first of the biannual business breakfast’s hosted by Surrey Heath Borough Council. Always a useful place to talk to people from local business, both large and small. They’re usually well attended, often with a waiting list. I imagine business rates will be a point of discussion at this meeting.

This is followed by a local business club lunch, at which I’m speaking. No such thing as a free lunch, have to earn it. Following lunch are two important meetings, one at Tomlinscote and the other later at Deepcut. In between all this I’ve some vital arrangements to make.

I’ll definitely be looking for a lie in on Saturday morning. Well, at least I’m hoping for one.
