A photographic exhibition with a difference – part 2

At last night’s award ceremony of the Community Foundation for Surrey’s photographic competition, guests were invited to view all the entries and talk with people about their photos.

I stopped by Susy Radio 103.4, a community radio for Redhill, Reigate and surrounding villages.  It fills a local radio gap left by other broadcasters

Susy Radio is a not for profit company funded by donations, grants, and advertising. It’s run by a dedicated team of volunteers and has a board of directors of serving professional, advisors and engineers. I talked to chairman of the board of Susy Radio, Neil Munday. He says they need two new transmitters, which are £1500 each. I do hope they find funding for them.

Neil was wearing an impressive Beatles Sergeant Pepper jacket, which he said was ex-BBC props department. He has his own business – Outdoor Sound Company.

The people in the photo, adjacent to the photo of Susy Radio entered into the competition, are the Very Rev’d Victor Stock, Dean of Guildford Cathedral, who presided at the award ceremony, the wife of Neil Munday, and yours truly.

  1. OOOPS! I had to chuckle – Not my wife I`m afraid but Susy Radio News (and pro broadcaster News – Radio Jackie!) Natalie Osborne.

    Regards

    Neil Munday
