There were four changes to the signage of Lightwater Homecare in 2010 that I wrote about in Impressions: Lightwater Homecare colour change. For new readers, Lightwater Homecare featured in series 3 of Mary Portas’s BBC2 TV programme, Mary, Queen of Shops.
While the other branches of the hardware chain in Ascot and Horsell retain their names, the word Lightwater has been dropped in favour of Surrey, as you can see in the photo.
When I get a moment I’ll ask Tony the reason for the change, which I imagine is probably an attempt to forget the whole business make-over that Mary Portas had in mind for Tony’s business.
