Remembrance Sunday and war memorials

Remembrance Sunday is 8th November this year. I’ll be attending the service in Lightwater’s All Saints’ Church, and if I can, also the service in Camberley.

A war memorial is an essential part of remembering our war dead. So, I thought I’d take a look at those that we have in Surrey Heath. Surrey Heath Council’s website has a list of the War Memorials in the Borough. I’ve noticed a couple missing from the list - Field of Remembrance plaque in Windlesham, and in St. Barnabus Church grounds in Deepcut. Here are photo’s of most of our memorials. See if you can recognise them, a clue is alphabetic sequence.
