Still no Euro election literature from Labour

Through our letterbox have plopped election missives from UKIP, LibDems, Greens, and Conservatives. But nothing yet from Labour. I’m old fashioned enough to want someone to knock on my door and ask for my vote, and to also tell me who’s standing and what they’re standing for.

There are 10 seats up for grabs in the European South East region. With each party nominating ten candidates I’m expecting to know whom I might vote for.  My view, hopefully retaining some objectivity[trying to limit a natural Tory bias], in terms of quality, presentation and content, of the literature received is, [only the side detailing the candidates is shown]:

UKIP Flyer

UKIP: four page A5 size, shiny thin paper, strong colours, good layout and imagery, single strong message, candidates named, pictured and described, poor policy description, insufficient text

 5 out of 10

Green FlyerGreen Party: four page A5 size, matt thin paper, strong colours, good layout and imagery, strong messages, major focus on main and one supporting candidate, both pictured, other candidates named but not described or pictured, good policy description, well written copy

 7 out of 10

LiberalDemocratLibDem: tri-fold A4 size, semi-shiny thin paper, confused colors, poor layout though reasonable imagery, weak and overly negative messages, poor policy description, irritating repetition in poorly written copy, only three candidates named and pictured, other candidates not named

4 out of 10

ConservativesConservatives: six page over-size A4, medium weight matt paper, strong colours, highly professional layout and imagery, strong messages, well written copy, good policy description, message from the leader, candidates listed and pictured but not described

8 out of 10

Labour: not seen one

BNP: did I put it straight in the bin – can’t remember
