The earth moves in politics

This PIECE in Scotland’s Herald newspaper caught my attention.

Here are the startling sentences:

“Mr Salmond [Scottish First Minister] said that Nationalists would vote with the Conservatives at Westminster after the next General Election if that was in Scotland’s interests.”

“Tory leader [in Scotland] Annabel Goldie invited Mr Salmond to plan for a more constructive relationship after the next Westminster General Election, replacing “the politics of grudge, gripe and grievance between his government and Gordon Brown’s government”.

The Scottish National Party and the Conservatives working together; phew, there’s something I never though possible.

Politics is certainly being turned on its head at present, and mostly for the better.
