Your political compass test

mypoliticalcompass_small.pngHere’s my Friday diversion for you. Try the Political Compass Test, and see where you come.

My result is shown on the right [Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.21].

I’d love to know the scoring system. Methinks there are some key questions. For example there’s a question – “The death penalty should be an option for the most serious crimes.” I had to stop and think for a moment, Did I strongly disagree, disagree, agree or strongly agree.

Well, I ticked the strongly disagree.

The test considers that the politics of the left versus the right have economic and social dimensions. The vertical scale is the social dimension and the horizontal scale is the economic dimension.

I’m pleased I came out on the libertarian right, as I’m in favour of enterprise, self reliance and individual freedom.

See where you sit – it’ll take only a few minutes to complete.
