Here’s the front page of yesterday’s Birmingham Post. It must be hugely damaging to Labour’s chances of holding onto the swing marginal parliamentary seats in the Midlands at the next general election.

I know impressions can change, but once uncertainty and doubt is put into electors’ mind about honesty and trust in a politician or political party, it’s a devil of a job to overcome. Coming as here from a sitting Labour MP it’s unlikely to go away.
