Hmmm – tough work this politics stuff.
Got to thinking about Ozzie Osbourne’s Quote of the Day – made me realise that many good rock bands came from the West Midlands – my home area – Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Led Zeppelin.
Further thunks had me arrive at my top rock anthems/rock bands, and in no particular order:
- Layla – Derek & the Dominoes
- Run to the hills – Iron Maiden
- Ace of Spades – Motörhead
- Stairway to heaven – Led Zeppelin
- The boys are back in town – Thin Lizzie
- My generation – The Who
- Go your own way – Fleetwood Mac
- Hanging on the telephone – Blondie
- Wonderwall – Oasis
- All along the watchtower – The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Hope the list promotes good thoughts.
